About Michael Collins

I'm very fortunate. Thanks to a varied career path, my life experience has been incredibly diverse. I’ve been in law enforcement, property management, merchandising, photo journalism, copywriting and advertising. And that’s just scratching the surface.

My photography interests began as a bullet-proof eight-year-old, when, armed with only my trusty Kodak Brownie and an unswerving faith in human nature's inherent kindness, I could be found annoying the hawkers, beggars, prostitutes, and bemused tradesfolk of downtown Hong Kong. As I happily ate every weird and wonderful thing put in front of me, chattering inanely to whomever would listen, I discovered life and the arcane art of candid photography. It was years later when I was keen to bring some of those memorable though sadly mistreated photos back to life that I learned about photo restoration

My other passion, writing, really took off when I travelled through South America, finding a need to add depth and perspective to the wonderful photo opportunities through words. Once the ice was broken, I tried my hand at a couple of novels and a true-life account of my travels. Now I write for others, helping people achieve their literary ambitions with ghostwriting, editing, and rewriting. Here's how I can help you!

A busy life always needs the right balance, so in my spare time it’s off to the gym for some yoga, out for coffee, or enjoying a long walk and talk with my lovely wife, dream analyst Jane Teresa.
