And so it was, in July 1996, that Michael set out to journey to the ends of the Earth, wandering from Alaska to Antarctica with not much more than the clothes on his back, a camera, a laptop, an email address, an American Express Card and a Bohemian desire to search for ...

Truth, Freedom, Beauty, but above all things ... The Answer to Life in General, The Universe and All That Is.

He also fancied a very long holiday - two and a half years, to be exact.

As it turned out, the number 42 did not come into the equation, but The Universe did provide some spectacular photo opportunities to capture the essence of Truth, Beauty, Freedom and, above all things, what you can-can-can do when the dream calls. Come what may.
