Truth
Title: R.I.P. 1938
Alaska. This was one of the world's most concentrated copper deposits at 70% purity. In 1938 when the price of copper fell and labour disputes combined with the costs relating to remote area mining made this mine uneconomical, the Kennecott Mine Company gave the 3,000 strong mining community 2 hours notice to take the last train out of the wilderness. For decades the settlement was exactly as it was left - meals on the tables, belongings abandoned and equipment just shut down.

There are times for moving on and, if you don't, the universe will arrange it for you, though you may not understand the wisdom of its ways until later.
